 Before I fall asleep, the time leading up to actually dozing off is a bit tough for me.

leading up to: "어떤 일이 일어나기까지" 또는 "어떤 일이 진행되는"을 의미하는 표현입니다.

actually dozing off: "dozing off"는 "졸다" 또는 "잠들다"는 뜻입니다.
